Game #2, Senior Night, and Stadium Dates Updates

Please see below for two important updates - first, our itinerary for tomorrow (we are leaving early for senior night), and a very important update about stadium rehearsal dates.

Stadium Rehearsal Dates - Updates & Changes

• An emergency meeting for all LISD high school band directors was held today to discuss stadium dates. Several JV grass stadiums are not usable for JV football games this season. As a result, all LISD bands have been moved out of some of our original stadium dates to accommodate the JV football games.
  
• All of the band directors sat down today and did our best to make a new stadium rehearsal schedule. I know this is not ideal, but please know that this has forced big changes for all of our LISD bands. On a positive note, we have secured some additional stadium rehearsal time as a result of this. 

New Stadium Rehearsals (Updated as of September 1st)

• Monday, September 19th @ Gupton; 4:30-7:30 PM
• Wednesday, September 28th @ Gupton; 4:30-7:30 PM
• Tuesday, October 4th @ Bible; 4:30-7:30 PM
• Thursday, October 20 @ Gupton; 4:30-7:30 PM
• Thursday, November 3 @ Gupton; 4:30-7:30 PM (moved from Bible)

Due to these changes, some rehearsal schedules will need to be adjusted. Changed rehearsal schedules are listed below:

Week of September 19th - 23rd (the most changes are here)

• Monday, September 19th @ Gupton; 4:30-7:30 PM
• Tuesday, September 20th @ GHS; 4:00-6:00 PM
• Wednesday, September 21st - NO REHEARSAL
• Thursday, September 22nd @ GHS; 4:00-7:00 PM
• Friday, September 23rd - Football Game (Middle School Night) 
• Saturday, September 24th - Hill Country Marching Festival (competition #1; schedule TBA)



Week of September 26th - October 1st

• Tuesday, September 27th @ GHS; 4:00-6:00 PM
• Wednesday, September 28th @ Gupton; 4:30-7:30 PM
• Thursday, September 29th @ GHS; 4:00-7:00 PM
  
• Friday, September 30th - Football Game @ Bible
• Saturday, October 1st - Vista Ridge Marching Festival @ Gupton (competition #2; schedule TBA)

Thank you for your flexibility with these schedule changes. It is imperative for the success of the full group that all students attend each of these major rehearsals - these stadium dates are our opportunity to address and "polish" our show for large stadium environments.
