Reminders for Football Game #1 (Friday, 8/26)

Glenn Band Families,

Football season is here! Tomorrow marks the first performance milestone for the 2022 Grizzly Marching Band as we head to Comal-Pieper for our first football game and show. Final details are listed below:

Important Game Details

Glenn Band Dri-Fit Shirts and Shorts were passed out to students today during class. If you have not already done so, please pay for these items by check, or at glennband.org.

Performance Attire: "Summer Uniform"

• Glenn Band DryFit tee shirt
• Glenn Band athletic shorts
• Athletic Shoes with “no show” socks (no Vans, Chucks, shoes with hard/flat rubber sole)
• Long hair tied back (braids/ponytails/buns are fine) - avoid “flyaways”
• No Jewelry or watches
• No Nail Polish

Parent Information

• Tickets can be purchased online - please check the facebook group for the link.
• I am requesting more help from parents as we go into the season. Our show has a lot of props and parts, and the parents need to help with setup so our kids can be great. If you have not signed up to help, I'm personally asking that you get involved - we are depending on you to help us be successful.

Food & Hydration

• Nutrition is extremely important - tomorrow is a LONG day, please make sure your students are eating well and have plenty of healthy, nutritious food for the day.
• Breakfast, a plan for lunch, and healthy snacks throughout the day will set up our kids to be their best tomorrow. They will need the energy!
• Dinner will be provided for the students tomorrow when we arrive at the game.
• Hydration is critical for the band tomorrow. Students need to be drinking water tonight and throughout the day tomorrow. Waiting until tomorrow will be too late.

We hope you can join us to cheer on our team and our band - it's a long trip but it will be worth it, and I'd love to see a ton of band fans in the stands!
