• Tuesday, 10/24: Rehearsal 4:00-7:00pm
• Wednesday, 10/25: Stadium Rehearsal @ Gupton 5:00-8:00pm
• Thursday, 10/26: Rehearsal 4:00-7:00pm
• Friday, 10/27: Football Game @ Birkelbach vs. Georgetown (click for itinerary)
• Saturday, 10/28: UIL Area H Marching Contest @ Rutledge Stadium (Converse, TX - details below)

Next Week (Senior Night & BOA San Antonio)

• Tuesday, 10/31: Rehearsal 4:00-7:00pm
• Glenn Band "Trunk or Treat" (all band parent/families are invited to participate): bring over some candy for the Grizzly Band! Will be held in parking lot from 7:00-8:00pm
• Wednesday, 11/1: Rehearsal 4:00-6:00pm
• Thursday, 11/2: Rehearsal 4:00-7:00pm
• Friday, 11/3: BOA San Antonio & Senior Night Football
• BOA San Antonio performance time is 4:30pm
• After our performance, seniors will load and depart immediately for Bible Stadium
• Senior Ceremony for band members will occur at halftime
• Band will join at the game as soon as possible
• Saturday, 11/4: BOA San Antonio Finals
• We will attend the finals contest in San Antonio
• We will depart from GHS early afternoon and will return late in the evening
• Full itinerary will be released soon

Week of 11/6

• Monday & Tuesday, 11/6 & 7: UIL 5A State Marching Contest
• A schedule will be released as soon as possible if we advance to the 5A State Marching Contest

UIL 5A Area Marching Contest

Congratulations to the Glenn Band for advancing to the 5A Area Marching Contest! Important details are below:

• Itinerary - Area Marching Contest 2023 (click here)
• Weather & Sun:
• We will be outside all day - sunscreen and sunglasses will be essential
• Clean & Classy:
• This is a good week to get a haircut - hair must not be touching collars
• Faces must be clean-shaven for contest - facial hair must be approved by a director
• Food & Meals:
• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided for this contest
• Since this is a beyond-district event, LISD will provide some money for these meals
• Additional snacks are welcome; students are responsible to clean up all garbage
• Bag Policy
• Clear totes & small clutches allowed

Spring Trip - Sign Up Now!

Thank you to all of those who have signed up for our Spring Trip this year!

So far we have only a handful of people sign up for our "band vacay". The Grizzly Band hasn't been on a spring trip in a LONG time (since 2019, to be exact!). You won't want to miss it! See more details below.

The Grizzly Band is beach-bound in Port Aransas/Corpus Christi!!!

We're excited to announce our optional but highly encouraged Spring Trip to Port Aransas! This is going to be a relaxing and fun time to unwind and spend time together after our UIL performances. We'll be spending 4 days and 3 nights at the El Constante beachside condominiums and enjoying the beach!

Seniors will also be getting a special senior golf cart outing!

GHS Volunteers @ UIL 6A Area Marching Contest Hosted by LISD

This past weekend a handful of Glenn Band parents & students made a HUGE effort to volunteer for the UIL 6A Area Marching Contest, and they were absolutely AWESOME! To all of these students and parents, thank you SO MUCH for stepping up to help - our warmup zones and entrances ran without a hitch all day and every single person made a MASSIVE impact on this event. THANK YOU!!

Truck-or-Treat w/ the Grizzly Band!

Since we'll be having rehearsal on October 31st this year, we thought it would be fun to offer up a "Truck or Treat" for our Grizzly Band students after rehearsal from 7:00-7:50pm!

Setup will be from 6:00-7:00pm during rehearsal in the student parking lot directly across from the band pad.

All parents are invited to come by and hand out some candy to our favorite trick-or-treaters as they finish up rehearsal - we would love to get a big crowd of Grizzly Band families there to hand out some treats to our hard-working and candy-deserving kiddos.
