Movement Camps, MegaBands and Panda Bears

Good evening, Grizzly Band Fans!

We're coming off of a great week of our first ever MEGABAND and our first movement camp of the year! Movement camp was excellent - all of the kids had a positive attitude and learned a ton in the little bit of time that we had. It was a great kickoff to our 2023 marching band season!

Our MEGABAND was a huge success as we welcomed tons of eighth graders to join us for a massive performance. The band was incredible! We were so proud of how well they rehearsed and performed, it was like watching and hearing a Region Band performance. A huge thank you to all of the band students for giving your Saturday for this event, and to all of the volunteers who did an absolutely amazing job. Our booster parents made displays, set up volunteer tables, painted banners, helped serve lunch to tons of kiddos, set up slide shows, and went above and beyond to make this first-time event really special for everyone who came to be a part of it. Thank you, everyone!

This week we settle down a little bit as we set our sights on our February concert (Friday, Feb 24th). We have a great fundraising opportunity at Panda Express on Thursday and we hope to see you there, details are below!

New @ GHS: Flute Choir & Trombone Choir

Flute Choir and Trombone Choir will start on January 23rd and January 24th respectively. It will be in the mornings from 7-8am. Any individuals that are interested in playing are welcome to join. These rehearsals will be on Monday and Tuesdays mornings until our February 24th concert. Both choirs will perform one piece each at the February concert.
