Glenn Band News - Uniform Fitting & Grizzly Camp

Glenn Band Fans,

What a past couple of weeks we've had! Your 2022 Grizzly Band has begun their season with a roar - in the past two weeks we have gone from taking our first steps to putting nearly 40 pages of marching drill and choreography on the field. The kids have been working incredibly hard and we are proud of everyone as we continue to push the Glenn Band to be our best yet.

A couple of important notes for next week:

Uniform Fittings This Week

All students will be fit for marching uniforms this week. To find out which day your student will be fit, please see our schedule here:

To find your student, search the tabs in the above Google spreadsheet. There is a tab for each day of the week, and students are organized by last name.

On the day of your student's fitting, please have them bring the following:

1. Marching vipers (freshmen will be provided a pair to wear)

2. Compression shorts (if you do not have these, we will have the students wear their shorts for the fitting.)

3. Consider bringing a dry tee shirt to wear for the fitting!

Early Release Thursday - Grizzly Camp 

To make sure that our freshmen students can attend Grizzly Camp on Thursday at 6:30pm, we will end rehearsal at 6:15pm. We would suggest that your freshmen attend this camp, it's a great experience! As a "pro tip" from our older students - your freshmen may want to bring a change of clothes and some deodorant for the end of rehearsal so that they can change and meet parents in fresh clothes!

A huge thank you to all of our parents that have been helping as we have gotten this season started - to all of our volunteers helping with fruit stands, student meals, and prop building, THANK YOU! As we always say, "it takes a village", and our kids and staff have been so grateful for all that you have done for us these past couple of weeks. Thank you!!!!

We're looking forward to our final week of summer band next week, it's hard to believe that we're starting week three! We can't wait to show you what the kids have been putting together. See you soon, Grizzly Band Fans.
